Hon Alfred Apochi, a grassroots grounded aspirant to the position of member, Federal House of Representatives to represent Ogbadibo, Okpokwu and Ado Federal constituency in the National Assembly recently stormed the Benue State offices of All Progressive Congress to obtain his expression of Interest and nomination forms after wide ranging consultations and show of acceptance from the nook and crannies of the constituency. Other tested and trusted political warriors who have deliberately moved forward in their determinations to serve the people from the political terrain include Hon Joseph Ojobo who is aspiring on the platform of the APC to represent Benue Zone C on the red chambers of the National Assembly. Relentlessly vibrant Enayi Onaji has left no one in doubts on her ambition to represent Ogbadibo, Ado and Okpokwu people in the House of Representatives on the platform of NDP. Prince Adoyi Onu, one of the most experienced grassroots leaders in Benue South Senatorial zone is running for the zone’s Senate seat on the Labour Party ticket.

Comrade Joseph Adoyi, a massively supported House of Assembly aspirant who had vigorously campaigned from the platform of the ADC was being prevailed upon by his massive supporters to decamp from the party in view of reported decision of the party to zoned the State House of Assembly position to another district away from his home base. He was said to be consulting widely on this development as at the time of this report. However his massive supporters who point at his public antecedents and unequivocal promises as their reasons for sticking with him where ever goes were said to be awaiting his future decision on the issue in baited breaths.

There were telling signs of jubilation amongst the people in response to the bold moves by the Federal House of Representatives aspirant Hon Alfred Apochi when our team visited Okpoga, Otukpa and Igumale, administrative headquarters of the Local Government Areas of the people he had picked the forms to contest as their representative in the National Assembly Enthusiastic supporters point at his personal and family empowerment projects for his people over the years and prayed fervently for his success at the primary and general elections.
