Wind Sound Africa Communications Limited, Publishers of AFRICAN ENVIRONMENT & CULTURE a periodic magazine and an Online newspaper, WIND SOUND AFRICA (www.windsoundafrica.com.ng) whose Teams have researched into and published more Climate Change induced lands/infrastructure degradation development-retarding problems of Nigeria arguably more than any other public or private organization in the nation hereby congratulate Nigeria and Nigerians, the president-elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, all winners of National Assembly seats, all presidential and National Assembly membership candidates who lost the contests, elected governors and States Assembly members, unsuccessful governorship and States Assembly candidates and all those who spent days and nights at voting and collation centers while contributing their personal data and power sources to the process of the just concluded general elections in Africa’s most populous nation.
We also particularly and symbolically congratulate a deservedly select number of young politically informed persons in Owukpa community where members of the hierarchy of this organization are also high Stakeholders. The district in Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue State is home to very many prestigious political leaders of high respect and impacts who we cannot mention here because of their numbers. The two young patriots who we sincerely congratulate here stand out particularly for the beacons they represent before Nigerian youths in whose hands the security and unity of all communities and the entire nation now rest. They are Comrades Austin Agada and Lawrence Oko for two exemplary reasons that stand them out as shining lights for other Nigerians.
Austin Agada, the present Chairman of All Progressive Congress in Benue State in his youthful age has stood out as one of the most consistent Opposition Party grassroots political leaders in Nigeria that we know in the Benue region coming next to Idoma political leader, David Mark on the other side of the two Establishment political parties. When economic and other social realities made it a vogue for others to buy their ways into the good books of ruling parties, Agada stood his grounds on the lonesome opposition block, oftentimes to his physical danger and the surprise of many. The unpredicted successes achieved by his party at the national and state levels hold the light of hope over despondency at local and national levels during electioneering tension-soaked moments.
Comrade Lawrence Oko, the S.A to Governor Samuel Ortom on Community Development on the other hand has held the light of conscious community self-help development initiatives and security provision for various communities around his home town and far off. After providing uncompromising leadership during electoral contests, he has proven to be a disciple of law and order as well as a resort to due process in resolving political issues. He enjoys the confidence of the youths and elders because he is on record to usually risks his own life in his efforts at promoting security for their lives and properties. The duo of comrades Austin Agada and Lawrence Oko of different efferent political parties deserve our congratulations at the end of the recent elections for their symbolic roles in their community and as export materials to the national horizon . In fact all Nigerians who voted and resiliently defended their votes deserve their quantum of accolades.
