CULTURE9ja REALITY TV SHOW UNVEILS IN NOSTALGIC EXHIBITION  OF AFRICAN CULTURE ON THE PLATEAU. By Matthew Owoicho Abah-Enyi

The Peace And Tourist-destination popularity image of Plateau and its geographical neighbouring States were brought to the forefront on Thursday, 27th day of September 2025 at an event that drew accolades from all who were in attendance. The event was the Plateau State component of the unveiling of a highly valued and anticipated REALITY TV show named CULTURE9ja at the sprawling Springfield Event Center, Little Rayfield, Jos, Plateau State.

The event drew near-full capacity attendance from neighbouring States and residents of Jos, the capital city of  Plateau, famous for Peace And Tourism.   The quantum and backgrounds of personalities that witnessed the event did so because of the sheer popularity of cultural troops that were expected to roll out their soul-touching drum beats and salutation performances. They were not disappointed.

At the event, Cultural troops and individuals were awarded recognition for their outstanding participation at the unveiling ceremony and contributions to societal development.

Chairman of the occasion Da Jonathan Sunday Akums eulogized the high place in which Plateau State nurtures cultural  identity, and ideology in  Nigeria and the world, concluding that in deed Plateau is the rainbow State of Nigeria and the world. The Permanent Secretary Plateau State Ministry of Youths and Sports who spoke on behalf of the government of Plateau State re-emphasized the need to continue to promote culture and peace at all times in Plateau, Nigeria and the world

The Ad’Idoma on the Plateau, who led the Idoma people on the Plateau to the event praised the organizers for choosing Plateau State as venue of the unveiling even as he made some bold corrective suggestions for similar future outings.

The Ibbas Cultural Troops was awarded the Cultural Troop of the Day. Individuals who were awarded recognitions for their positive contributions to Societal Development include the President, Idoma Community Development Association, Plateau State, Engr Bartholomew Abiche, Elder Candidus Elaigwu, Abakpa Emmanuel Oche, Pharmacist Cyprain Adikwu, Peace maker Alex Oketa and Emmanuel Omooa, one of the organizers of the event who is of Idoma extraction. The event has remained the talk of the town since it took place as Television program enthusiasts look forward to the airing of the program.
